PHYSICAL PLANT

The Coker Council for the Arts and Activities is located in the 100 year old Woolworth Building in downtown Connellsville.

It consists of four distinct spaces that were once one space, the Woolworth Store, The upstairs space was offices, the lower space was, at one time, partitioned off into two spaces Giggiloti's Men's Clothing Store and Davidson's Woman's Clothing Store.

Later  Davidson's was partitioned into two retail spaces, a hobby shop and Pat's Bridal Boutique.

Today only the Bridal Boutique remains. CCAA purchased the building in 2019 and opened a Thrift Store to raise operating funds and take donations for its first project in downtown, the Coker Museum. The remaining space next to the museum will house the Coker Event Center and the Coker Black Box Theatre.

OUR MISSION

Provide opportunities for all to have equal access to Education, Recreation, The Performing and Fine Arts, and to offer Social and Veteran's Services at little to no cost to the individual.

Preserve the history of our local high schools (Connellsville, Immaculata, Dunbar Township, Geibel) in the Coker Museum through memorabilia displays dating back to the late 1930s, genealogical, cataloging , and research materials.

Offer an affordable Small Event Center, and establish a small Black Box Theater to showcase local talent with after school programs for teenagers that help with career choices like theater technicians, stage managing, and performance.e your paragraph here.
